"The Multiverse is the collection of alternate universes that share a universal hierarchy; it is a subsection of the larger Omniverse, the collection of all alternate universes. A large variety of these universes were originated from another due to a major decision on the part of a character. Some can seem to be taking place in the past or future due to differences in how time passes in each universe. Often, new universes are born due to time traveling, another name for these new universes is an 'alternate timeline'." —Marvel Database.[1]

The Marvel Animated Multiverse consists of a 'prime' reality: Earth-92131, the universe in which Spider-Man: The Animated Series and X-Men: The Animated Series takes place. There are also several 'alternate realities' in the multiverse explored in the series', some of which are born due to time traveling (See Other realities). All of these universes are licensed by Marvel and are confirmed in the official Marvel Handbooks. In addition, there are potentially endless more of these alternate and diverged realities that have not yet been explored by Marvel (and are unlikely to ever be explored). However, this site explores them by creating fan-fictional timelines alternating from the official realities. Also, remember that everything is part of the larger Marvel Multiverse and of course, the Omniverse!

After Spider-Man had bonded with a symbiotic life form, he fought Shocker in the church, defeated him and held him at the window preparing to kill him, before pushing him out resulting in Shocker's death from a lethal fall. Spider-Man then turned to a webbed up Eddie Brock, killing him by cutting through the webbing which Spider-Man had used to stick him to the top of the church, causing Eddie to also die from a lethal fall...
